Exhibit Information and Animal FACTSHEETS

  • Check our ANIMALS page for  information on the different exhibits – which animals are on show and what conservation projects they may be linked to
  • Check out our FACTSHEETS for detailed information on each species, divided by taxa
  • Fun facts: many of the exhibits around the zoo have some really interesting and fun information, and things to do – some animals even have poetry written for them! Ask about coming on a pre-visit to plan your fact-finding day.
  • Ideas for using the Factsheets 1: – try printing the pictures of the animals and using these on your visit to get children to identify the animals;
  • Ideas for using the Factsheets 2: – try getting the children to match the animal to it’s habitat

Teachers Noteswe have also written notes for a number of sessions that we deliver for teachers – these give suggestions on things to do before and after your visit, as well as while you’re at the zoo.
