Annual membership terms and conditions

Annual membership may be taken out at any time and will be valid for a full 12 months. Please allow 21 days for receipt of your membership pack.

Memberships for 2 or 3 adults can only be purchased for adults living at the same address.

The household will receive one copy of ‘The Zoo’ magazine and one set of half price tickets to share. You will receive two editions of ‘The Zoo' magazine during one year of your annual membership.

Child membership is only available with an adult membership. Children aged 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
If you are buying a membership for more than 4 children, please contact the membership office.

Proof of concession is required and a date of birth must be given for all children under 18 years. Please specify on the application form which type of concession you are applying for.

Members receive one membership card per person and will have a photo taken in the Zoo that will be incorporated into the card.

No entry can be allowed without a valid card. If you forget your card we cannot guarantee entry to the Zoo.

Memberships are not transferable.

A replacement fee of £5 will be charged for each lost card. Other membership items cannot be replaced.

Members gain free entry to Belfast Zoo, Colchester Zoo, Chester Zoo (one visit per year), Edinburgh Zoo, Marwell Zoological Park (one entry per year) and Woburn Safari Park (one entry per year, Woburn members cannot gain entry to Bristol Zoo with a Woburn toddlers pass) as part of a reciprocal agreement. Please contact individual zoos / safari parks for terms and conditions of this arrangement before visiting. A valid membership card and welcome letter with proof of expiry date is required upon entry.

Membership benefits may be subject to change at any time. No refunds can be made.

Entry is subject to availability and normal opening hours. Bristol Zoo Gardens reserves the right to refuse admission.

After two years continuous membership, a discount of 10% is available off next year’s membership. This applies only if the renewal is made before the current membership expires.

Zoo parking, when available, costs £1. If the parking fees increase during your membership you will still receive a members discount compared with the day visitor charge.

Join on the day of your visit, or send your application in within seven days of your visit and entrance fees paid for those named on the application form can be deducted from the total due. The refund excludes any voluntary donation paid on admission. The entrance receipt must be attached.

Half price tickets can be used as one whole ticket for an adult paying the full adult price, or half a ticket for a child aged 3 to 14 years inclusive.

The 20% discount in the Zoo shops and on Activity Centre retail items cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer and excludes drinks, confectionery and ice cream. Minimum spend of £5 applies.
