Junior keeper experience

Our junior keeper experience is designed to give you a hands on, behind the scenes view of what’s involved with looking after animals at Bristol Zoo Gardens. The sessions take place on Saturdays and Sundays and last 2 hours. During this time you will have an opportunity to experience and have fun in four key areas: 

• Animal enrichment
• Housekeeping
• Food preparation
• Animal feeding

During the session you’ll have plenty of hands-on experience of cleaning enclosures, feeding, and animal enrichment.

Restrictions

Junior keeper experience is only available to people aged 6-15 years of age who must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Unfortunately we cannot accommodate wheelchair users.

Cost

The ‘Junior keeper experience’ costs £90 per person (inc. VAT) and includes souvenir gifts of a t-Shirt and certificate.
